Since the stores can’t open amid the COVID-19 lockdown, they should focus on online orders to generate revenue even in the lockdown. He concluded by saying that a lot of small businesses that were never up for the idea of online orders are now changing their ways.

All small businesses can take advantage of joining Facebook Shops to boost their economic growth amidst the ongoing pandemic. You can set up your shop using Shopify since there a 90-day free trial.

Facebook shops will also let customers connect with the business via Instagram Direct, WhatsApp, and Facebook Messenger. Users can track deliveries, ask questions, and seek support directly.

Users can add the items to the cart or buy them instantly as they do in any other e-commerce app. Facebook says that one can save their card credentials, which can be used in any Instagram or Facebook store. Facebook Shops is going to give tough competition to other e-commerce platforms like Amazon and Flipkart. Apart from that, food ordering apps such as Zomato and Swiggy will face stiff competition if a lot of small restaurants and local food chains join Facebook Shops.
