Xiaomi sells over 70,000 units of Redmi K50 Gaming during first flash sale

The Redmi K50 Gaming was introduced on Wednesday, and today it had its first flash sale. According to the official Weibo account of the Xiaomi brand, the model brought in over CNY 280 million in revenue (almost $45 million) before all the stock was gone.

The first member of the Redmi K50 family brings a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, a massive VC chamber and an impressive 6.67” AMOLED with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 480 Hz touch sampling rate. According to Redmi, the phone can be charged from 0 to 100% in 17 minutes, thanks to the 120W fast charging for the 4,700 mAh battery.

Even if everyone bought the most expensive version of the K50 Gaming, which comes with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage that would mean over 70,000 units found their new owners. With a more balanced mix, which is the more likely option, the number is actually closer to 80,000.
