Samsung Galaxy S22 Fe Misses Out On The Dimensity 9000 Flagship Soc

Previous reports claim that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S22 FE which will arrive this year will have two options. Initially, there was to be a Snapdragon as well as a Dimensity version. This will make the smartphone more competitive in the market. However, Yogesh Brar, a well-known leakster, made it clear in his interactions with netizens that Samsung will still use its own Exynos or Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chipsets on high-end models.

A few days ago, netizen @chunvn8888 posted that although the Dimensity 9000 is stronger than the Exynos 2200, Samsung will not use it in the Galaxy S22 FE at present. Subsequently, Yogesh Brar replied in the post that Samsung will not use MediaTek chipsets in the future. That means the Galaxy S23 will still be powered by Exynos and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chipsets.

Samsung generally adopts a dual-chip strategy for high-end flagship products, usually using Qualcomm Snapdragon processors in the Asian market and its own Exynos chips in the European market. However, the Exynos chip has not performed well on the Galaxy S22 series recently. Some netizens reported that the Exynos 2200 version of the Galaxy S22 series had bugs such as stuttering and GPS failure. However, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 version of the Galaxy S22 series did not have these problems. Previous speculations claim that Samsung will abandon the use of its Exynos chip due to performance issues. However, this is probably not true considering that the Galaxy S22 still uses Exynos chips.

At present, Samsung has not disclosed relevant information. We won’t see Samsung’s final choice until the new phone is released.

Will Galaxy S22 FE have more power than the Galaxy S22?

In recent times, there have been reports that the Samsung Galaxy S22 FE will be more powerful than the Galaxy S22. This is due to the report that the Galaxy S22 FE will use the Dimensity 9000 SoC. However, with the latest report, the FE model will not be more powerful than the Galaxy S22. The fan edition is usually a watered-down model.

MediaTek Dimensity chips usually appear on Samsung’s affordable models. The initial report claims that at least one smartphone with the latest 4nm chip from MediaTek will be part of the Galaxy A series this year. This news could still be on track because there is no report to debunk its use. However, it is most unlikely that the Galaxy S22 FE will use the flagship MediTek Dimensity 9000 SoC.
