Honor 9X arrives India alongside two other devices

Honor today brought three of its new products in the Indian market – Honor 9X, MagicWatch 2, and the Band 5i.

The Honor 9X, Honor brought the global variant of the 9X to India which is actually the 9X Pro, but with a Kirin 710F SoC and a rear-mounted fingerprint reader.

The Honor 9X comes in two memory versions – 4GB/128GB and 6GB/128GB. It’s built around a 6.59″ FHD+ notch-less display and runs Android Pie-based EMUI 9.1 out of the box.

The Honor 9X features a 16MP selfie snapper mounted on a pop-up mechanism and there’s a 48MP camera at the back joined by an 8MP ultrawide and 2MP depth sensor modules.

The smartphone ships with a 4,000 mAh battery that draws power through a USB-C port at the speed of 10W. You can read our detailed written review of the Honor 9X to learn all about it.

Price

The 4GB RAM model is priced at INR13,999 ($200/€180) while the 6GB RAM variant costs INR3,000 ($42/€38) more. You can pick one in Midnight Black and Sapphire Blue colors from Flipkart starting January 19.

Honor 9X is set to hit India

The Honor 9X is already selling in multiple markets across the world but is yet to hit India. This is about to be fixed after the Huawei sub-brand got a landing page on Flipkart, teasing the arrival of the smartphone.

The page has a big X and an elevating camera, while the Twitter page of Honor India is trying to win the prize “Cheesy lines of the decade” with slogans such as “Do you have an X factor in you” and “Still have feelings for your X?”

The biggest question, however, is not when the phone will arrive, but which version of the phone will arrive. Fans of Honor are hoping this will be the original 9X with Kirin 810 and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner that is selling in China, but it’s more likely that India gets the global version with Kirin 710F, fingerprint sensor on the back, sitting next to a triple camera.
