Fixing HappyMod Errors
HappyMod is generally stable, but we have heard of a few common errors. Here are those errors with their easy solutions:
Problem Parsing the Package
The APK parser works by reading a string of characters, digits, and symbols in the code. Sometimes, that string can’t be read, perhaps because the file didn’t fully download, the file is corrupt, it isn’t compatible with your specific Device, etc., and when that happens, the parser will throw up this error message. There are a few ways you can try to fix this:
Method 1: Check Manifested HappyMod APK File
The manifested file is an app file customized by you in some way, usually to remove ads from the App. If you have customized your file in any way, follow these steps:
- On your Android device, open the APK file and look for a file named andriomanifest.xml
2. Open that file and put it back to the default settings
3. Also check that you didn’t change the file name in any way, as this can also cause the error
Method 2: USB Debugging
- Open Settings and scroll down to About Device; tap to enter
2. Find Build Number and tap on it seven times in quick succession; a message appears telling you, “You are now a developer.’
3. Go back to Settings and tap Developer Options
4. Enable the USB Debugging option and install HappyMod again – you should have no trouble this time
Method 3: Corrupted File
The only thing you can do with this is to delete the file and start over. Do make sure that, when you download the APK file, it comes from the official source.
App Not Installed
There could be a number of reasons why HappyMod may fail to install and a number of ways to fix it too:
Method 1: Clear Package Installer Data and Cache
- Launch Settings on your device and go to Apps (Manage Apps)
2. Tap on System > Package Installer
3. Tap Clear Data and then Clear Cache – if your Device is running Android 6 Marshmallow, go to
Storage for these options
Method 2: Enable Unknown Sources
- G to Settings > Security
2. Enable Unknown Sources
3. Try installing HappyMod again
If it doesn’t work, delete the app store, make sure Unknown Sources is enabled and reinstall it
Method 3: For Rooted Devices
- Using your Android browser find and download a decent root explorer app
2. Open it, copy the APK and then open Settings
3. Tap on App and ensure permissions have been enabled for the App
4. Close Settings, try HappyMod, it should be working
Method 4: Clear Some Space, Set the Path
Many times, an app won’t install because there is not enough space on your device. Or you could be attempting to install it where it doesn’t want to go. Clear unused apps and files off your Device and put your media files onto an external storage device. If you want the app installer n your SD card, you must make sure it has been mounted properly. Do try to avoid installing to an SD card if you can; the APK file cannot always be read by the package installer.
