How to transfer money through UPI when your internet is not working

We sometimes get worried when our internet is not working and we have need to make one or two payments online as such our mind become unstable. This article will expose and explain steps you can transfer money through UPI when your internet is not working.

So always take note that aside social media apps, majority of the population use payment apps quite often. We have the Google Pay and the likes can be found in all Android smartphones. what do we do when the internet is unavailable?

Unified Payments Interface

Unified Payments Interface (UPI) is an instant payment system developed by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), an RBI regulated entity. UPI is built over the IMPS infrastructure and allows you to instantly transfer money between any two parties’ bank accounts.

All users need is the SIM card of the registered number in your phone and sufficient bank balance to use this service.

Below is a quick guide to conduct offline UPI transaction.

1. Dial (*99#) on your phone’s dial pad and press the call button.

2. Immediately after that seven options will pop on your screen – Send Money, Receive Money, Check Balance, My Profile, Pending Requests, Transactions’ and UPI PIN.

3. To transfer money, you can reply by pressing 1 on your dial pad/phone. This will allow you to transfer money using just your mobile number, UPI ID or bank account number and IFSC code.

4. Immediately you click the option available, you have to enter the mobile number, UPI ID or bank details of the beneficiary.

5. The next step is the amount that you want to transfer.

6. The last thing, is to enter your UPI PIN and select send.
