The Beginner’s Series: Introduction to JavaScript course has 51 video lectures, which is available on YouTube. By the end of the course, beginners will be able to build basic web applications by putting basic JavaScript concepts together.

In case you want a sneak peek into the course, you can view it right here:

The series delves deeper into JavaScript frameworks such as Google’s Angular and software development kits (SDKs) using JavaScript. It also teaches how to set up a developer environment with Microsoft Visual Studio Code, and installing Node.js as a JavaScript runtime.

In this course, Microsoft also introduces programmers to a broad collection of packages and software libraries available on npm. Once learners approach the end of the lectures, they will be guided through the process of building their own ‘Hello World’ app.

Via this course, Microsoft aims to educate developers on what’s available in Azure artificial-intelligence services, such as Azure Cognitive Services and Azure Bot Framework. There are JavaScript implementations in such tools that allow developers to use AI in their apps. For instance, creating bots using the Bot Framework SDK for JavaScript.

Although Microsoft says that you don’t need any prior coding knowledge to understand the free JavaScript tutorial, I’d say a basic understanding of programming language will help viewers more
