OurMine hacked Facebook official Twitter account

OurMine hacked Facebook official Twitter accounts
It just got to our notice that a team hackers recently attack Facebook’s Official Twitter and Instagram accounts. It is said that the group who claim the credit for hacking these accounts goes by the name “OurMine.” OurMine is the same group that previously hacked the official social media accounts of HBO, the New York Times, NFL, and ESPN. The group posted a tweet from the official Facebook and Messenger Twitter accounts, reading: “Hi, we are OurMine. Well, even Facebook is hackable, but at least their security better than Twitter.” What’s more bizarre than the hackers mocking Twitter, is that they went on to provide their website and email-id in the tweet. Also, they asked people to contact them to improve their social media accounts’ security.
Twitter locked the compromised accounts and recovered them within 30 minutes. According to Twitter, “As soon as we were made aware of the issue, we locked the compromised accounts and are working closely with our partners at Facebook to restore them,” However, the claims made by OurMine in the tweets are sort of misleading. That is because it doesn’t look like Facebook and Twitter itself were hacked. Apart from that, the group also hacked the official Facebook and Messenger Instagram accounts. The hacking came into light when people saw OurMine’s logo being posted several times from both of the accounts. Reportedly, a third-party tool dubbed “Khoros” was used to post those Tweets and photos from Facebook’s official accounts.
