The Realme Pad Mini tablet’s launch date in Malaysia is right around the corner, following the device’s recent debut in the Philippines. Taking to its official Facebook account earlier today, April 14, Realme announced that the Pad Mini will hit the store shelves in the country on April 20, 2022. Aside from this, the Chinese tech company noted that the Realme Pad Mini Malaysia launch event will be live-streamed. The event will begin at 2 PM on April 20. For those who are unaware, the Pad Mini was originally meant to be a Philippines-only tablet with a starting price of RM815.
However, an earlier report predicted that the Pad Mini will arrive in the Indian market after going official in the Philippines. It is still unclear whether the mini version of the original Realme Pad will see the light of the day in India as well. Despite its mini form factor, the Pad Mini packs a decent Unisoc Tiger T606 SoC under the hood. Moreover, the tablet ships with 4GB of RAM. Regrettably, the announcement Facebook post does not shed light on the tablet’s features, specs, or price.
Nevertheless, PhoneAqua has already listed Realme Pad Mini with a starting price of MYR. 561 (about INR 10,200) to MYR. 636 (about INR 11,534) on its website. Aside from this, the listing sheds light on the tablet’s key specifications. It is also worth noting that the Realme Pad sells for INR 13,999, So, the Pad Mini is likely to sell for under INR 14,000 in India. Despite carrying the Mini moniker, the tablet sports a large 8.7-inch LCD display. Furthermore, this screen delivers a resolution of 1340×800 pixels.

Furthermore, the Pad Mini comes with a robust 6400mAh battery unit that supports 18W quick charging. Also, it supports expandable storage of up to 1TB. You can choose between two appealing color options including Blue or Grey. It will be interesting to see whether Realme will add a few Malaysia-exclusive features to the Pad Mini.
Also, the exact price tag it will be carrying in the country is still a mystery. Earlier reports suggest that the tablet could sport a 5MP front camera for video calling. Likewise, it will reportedly feature an 8MP shooter on the back. Also, the tablet is likely to come with an Unisoc T616 chipset.
