The Samsung Galaxy S21 specifications leaks have arrived before the lineup’s earlier than expected launch in January. The latest Galaxy S21 leaks come from Android Police’s Max Weinbach, who was on-point with the Galaxy S20 leaks last year.

Starting with the obvious, Samsung will yet again launch three Galaxy S21 models — the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and the Galaxy S21 Ultra. However, the Korean tech giant has some major upgrades in store for its flagship lineup for 2021.

The Galaxy S21 will come with Snapdragon 875 or Exynos 2100, depending upon the region. Interestingly, Weinbach was told that the Exynos chip would be “on-par or better than the Snapdragon 875.” This would hopefully put an end to Samsung’s Exynos problem wherein the Exynos models are generally underpowered compared to Snapdragon models.

As for the display, both the Galaxy S21 and S21+ will come with 6.2-inch and 6.7-inch FHD+ resolution OLED LPTS panels respectively with a 120Hz refresh rate. Just like last year’s Galaxy S lineup, the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 Plus will only differ on screen size and battery. The S21 will come with a 4,000mAh battery while S21+ will come with a 4,800mAh battery.

The Galaxy S21 Ultra will come with a 6.8-inch WQHD+ OLED LPTO panel that would offer a 120Hz adaptive screen refresh rate. The S20 Ultra variant will come equipped with a whopping 5,000mAh battery and support the S-pen, however, it won’t be included in the box.

Regarding the camera aspect, the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 Plus will offer the same triple camera setup — a 12MP main sensor, 64MP telephoto, and 12MP ultrawide.

The Galaxy S21 Ultra, on the other hand, will come with a quad camera setup — a 108MP (2nd Gen) primary camera, a 12MP ultrawide and two 10MP telephoto lenses with 3x optical and 10x optical zoom. Reportedly, the S21 Ultra will be bringing back the 100X Space Zoom and feature laser autofocus.

All three models will come with One UI 3.0 based on Android 11 and offer 5G support, Bluetooth 5.1 and WiFi 6 (WiFI 6E for the Ultra model).

Galaxy S21 Design

Samsung has made some major design changes to its S21 lineup. Unlike the last time where all S20 models were built from the same materials, the S21 will come with a plastic body. Meanwhile, the S21 ultra will offer a glass and metal build. The decision to go with plastic this, time comes from the positive response Samsung got with the recently launched Galaxy S20 FE.

Weinbach says the recent Galaxy S21 renders are pretty much spot on, since he has official press renders however, he cannot share them at the moment. From what he is allowed to reveal — the camera bump will be part of the frame. Also, the frame and camera bump will feature different colors depending upon the model.

The Galaxy S21 lineup will also come in a few new colors. The base model will have options like Violet, Pink, Gray, and White; the S21+ will have Silver, Black, and Violet, and the Ultra model will have only silver and black.

As expected, there is no information on the Galaxy S21 price. However, rumors say that the Samsung Galaxy S21 will have a lower starting price than the last release.
