Samsung Galaxy Z Flip look awesome(new images)

LetsGoDigital have produced some mockup renders of the incoming “Samsung Galaxy Z Flip” foldable phone based on previous teasers and live-image leaks of the Samsung flip phone.
The mockups give us a really good idea of what the new Samsung phone might look like. The hinge mechanism looks strikingly similar to the one on the Galaxy Fold. There’s a power key on the right of the lower section of the handset and a volume rocker on the right of the upper half. There’s a small external display next to the main dual-cameras and single LED flash. The inside display features a punch-hole display with an embedded selfie camera, rumored to be a 10MP shooter. The clamshell is currently rumored to pack a Snapdragon 855 chipset and support some kind of super-fast charging for the dual-battery setup. One of them is said to be a 900 mAh with the other’s capacity unknown. The Galaxy Z Flip may be the first consumer smartphone to feature foldable glass – this, while other foldable phone use plastic-based materials for the bendable screen surface. The screen itself is slated to fold open to a fairly large 6.7-inch screen. The images and video don’t really leave much to the imagination in the aesthetic department, but there are still many unanswered questions and technical specs left unidentified. The Galaxy Z Fold could possibly be unveiled at the same time as the Samsung Galaxy S20 series at Samsung’s Unpacked event next month. Check out the Source post to check out more still renders of the upcoming foldable phone.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip gets 3C certification

The highly anticipated clamshell Samsung Galaxy Z Flip has made its way to China’s 3C certification database, revealing it’s coming with a 15W charger in the box. The device from this certification bears the SM-F700 model number which matches previous certification exploits. It’s important to note that the Galaxy Z Flip will not feature the latest and greatest internal components. The device is believed to ship with last year’s Snapdragon 855 at the helm alongside a dual-camera setup on the outside and a 10MP selfie cam. The more interesting bit, however, is the display which will allegedly feature an Ultra-Thin Glass (UTG) construction, making it the first device on the market to do so. That’s pretty much all we know at this point. There’s also the rumors about the pricing which are centered around a $1,000 price tag but we’ll just have to wait and see if that holds up. Samsung is hosting its Unpacked event on February 11 where we’ll see the reveals of the new S20 lineup as well as the Galaxy Z Flip.
